New Restaurant in Kenyon

Posted

The wait is over! Barney Nesseth and Angie Anderson have partnered up to bring a new restaurant to Kenyon, and it will open Thursday, June 8. Located beside Tatge's Jewelers at 635 2nd Street in Kenyon, Angie will be featuring home cooked meals to tantalize your taste buds, and baked goods to top it all off.

As many of you will know, Barney and Angie have been very successful in Wanamingo at JB's Tavern. Awhile back, they conspired to bring the flavors of JB's west to Kenyon, and expand the menu choices. The menu will include breakfast, lunch and dinner, with hamburgers, hot dishes, pizza, ice cream, craft coffees, espresso and smoothies. When I chatted with Angie after the decision was made for the new venue, she confided that her favorite meal to cook up is breakfast, so be looking for some innovation to start your day off right! Yes, Bozie the Clown, the menu includes pancakes!

Some of the foods you will find on the menu are appetizers like everyone's favorite.... cheese curds, as well as chicken fingers, batter fried mushrooms, and fries. There will be a variety of sandwiches, and a children's menu, too. Daily Specials will be posted each day, so come on in and check them out.

Hours will be Tuesday through Saturday from 7 am to 8 pm, and Sunday from 8 am to 1 pm. If you have a larger group or are looking for a place to host a small event, please call ahead for reservations at (507) 789-1100. You can also follow Angie on Facebook at Angie's Restaurant.

It has taken a lot of planning, hard work and creative solutions to get this up and running, so please come on down and congratulate Angie on what promises to be a successful venture into culinary delights!
