Hometown Liquor has a new owner. Jake Grant purchased the business from Barney Nesseth on September 28th. His son Emmett will be overseeing the day to day operations of the retail store. The Grants are Wanamingo natives and own a three-generation trucking business with a maintenance building beside the liquor store and have rented the office space for the last three years. The trucking business has twenty semi-trucks and five owner operators which haul ice cream in refrigerated trailers for local as well as long haul deliveries.
Right now they are focusing keeping up with the inventory and looking for new products and ways to attract new customers. The hours are 8am to 10pm Monday through Saturday and 11am to 6pm on Sundays.
